Tyranny and Democracy

There is some confusion in the World about Democracy. Pure Democracy has the majority ruling. The type of Democracy we have in the USA is different than that. We have a Supreme Court where people are elected for life or until they tire of the job. We have the President that can run for office for a 4 year term and can run again for a total of 8. While I do not think it has happened yet, it would be possible to have a President run for office after taking 4 years off. Ex Presidents sometimes do better than when they were in office. President Carter certainly did. President Clinton is now considered by many to be the President of the World. I guess Hillary keeps him really busy so he doesn't discover any more "young and talented" ladies.
As Secretary of the State in this wonderful time of Freedom Fighters, she may end up in History as being more prolific than she would have been as President. The President gets to make some choices but rarely gets to make them one at a time. No matter what he or she does, someone will complain. Such is life in a Democracy. Every President in my life has come out of office looking 3 years older for every year he was in. There are perks to be sure but did you know the Presidential family must pay for their own food?
Here in the USA we have heard that since 9/11/1 America has been waiting for the Moderate followers of Islam to speak out. I think I am beginning to hear them and they have been talking to the world. Google, Facebook, Twitter, email, cell phones, there are even plans for sat-com that will make ISP free for those who can not afford it. Then we really can have total public education.
I am very sure that there are places in the USA, Canada, and EU where it is costing over $30,000 USD/yr to educate a child from K-12. They can ask for this because they will not take everyone in. On the other hand in India, the World's largest Democracy, they budget $300 USD/child per year for public schools. That looks unattainable to some countries in under-developed regions of the World.
Why is there War? Well it all started with Zero Sum. Probably as soon as man stood erect it was discovered that there were many different animals, including man, foraging for the same food. The conclusion was that food was scarce and should be horded for lean times. If you lived in an area where there were severe winters you got really good at this. Now add to that the fact that some people were smarter than others. Now nobody really thought that much about what they were doing as they had now writing and really very little vocabulary. They grunted a bunch.
I hate to tell you this but there was another reason that became popular. It was slavery and yes there is lots of slavery still in the world today. Some is blatant and some is disguised. If you are in debt, that is a form of slavery. This is another area where greed applies. People who have power usually have wealth. The more they have the more they want. They keep saying it is because of Zero Sum. They have a family to support and the family deserves to have the finest in life because they are Royalty. This is an arbitrary designation and it is time to send it the same direction of tyranny.
I am proud of Tunisia, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, and any other Freedom Fighters that are standing against tyranny. IT is not easy to do Democracy but it is all in the term limits. I believe in you. Love & Peace, Deborah

BP Oil - Bush & Company

For years now we have heard how the Republicans, under the leadership of Bush were going to fix everything in the world and build democracies through waging war. I am not one of those conspiracy folks but I do take exception to the way the USA handled the attack on New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania on 9/11/01. This was not an act of war but an act of terrorists. We, as a country, created the leader of the pack that attacked us when we propped him up as a poster boy to save Afghanistan from invasion by the Soviet Union. Now here is where I am confused. If we got rid of the Soviets why did we abandon Afghanistan. If we had been interested in Peace and stability in the region we should have sent a team to help them set up a democracy and stable economy.
As a population, we were lied to by a Vice President that wanted to eliminate Sadam Hussein because during the Gulf War, President Bush (the first) would not allow US Troops to follow him back into the city of Bagdad. The reason? He said it would cause too much collateral damage.
Now I did not agree with invading Iraq but I was totally dismayed by the fact that the Bush administration was not prepared to help set up a government to replace the one they dismantled. I thought it was short sighted to fire all the army that had worked for Sadam. They wound up starting a civil war. Most people join the Army to feed their family. They are not always as loyal to fearless leader as it might appear. It is a job and they get to push people around and carry a gun.
Now I do not know how you feel about war but did it not dawn on you that something was very wrong when we dropped 50 bombs and Sadam was still loose? We are supposed to have the finest Military money can buy. Oh wait! I forgot. They had to fire all the translators because some of them were gay...? Now if I was a conspiracy type person it is here I would make the case for the concept that this was just an excuse to transfer money from the middle and working class to the wealthy like Hallburton, Big Oil, and God only knows how many construction contractors.
We kept being told that the President needed freedom to hunt down the terrorists so we should allow for the Patriot Act. Let him and his buddies snoop into all our email and pick on everyone that even resembles one of the guys who drove the plains as suicide pilots. The republicans sold America down the river by allowing outsourcing with no plan for retraining all the millions of people in America that were replaced by near slave labor in other countries. We were told we should give tax breaks to the wealthy because they generated jobs for Americans. We were told that the air quality in NYC was AOK until the first responders started getting sick and dying. Is it just me or is there something wrong with spending so much money on the EPA and they could not recommend face masks for first responders.
How about Katrina? In over-reaction to 9/11/1 we had to create a homeland security. For some reason they felt that FEMA should be in that group. Well the first thing that Tom Ridge did as the first king of DHS was to pull as much money as he could from FEMA to build himself a real cushy office. The guy Bush put in charge may not have been the best for the job but political appointments are usually not really running the show anyway. FEMA & EPA were a joke under Bush. Republicans did not like having to follow any rules when doing business. No sir, just give them your money for investment and let them go. The market would regulate itself. You recall it was their answer to fixing the Social Security system??? Good thing we didn't depend on that system. You remember how the Republicans are always beating up on the Unions. Ask GM about how the unions pitched in to help save that company.
BP should have been required to provide a plan of action in case of emergency. Oh I keep forgetting. Business, especially OIL is supposed to self-regulate. Katrina was not enough. It was the Democratic Female Governor's fault for not calling and requesting help from the Federal Government???
Now it is a little late.
I have yet to hear President Obama or any other member of his administration blame the Republican Governor of Louisiana. They were there on day one. They gave BP benefit of the doubt when they said they would fix it. First we heard from the CEOs of Tobacco that there was no proof that smoking cigarettes caused lung cancer. Next the CEOs from Detroit came to beg for a bail out with private jets. Now these were the same folks that said the reason GM was failing was because of the Unions and retired people. Let's not discuss what they paid the CEO and top executives???
BP will be paying for this for another 10 years.
Let's resolve to do offshore drilling safely. Plan ahead.

Dick Cheney

Dear friends,
People have asked me why I am mad at Wyoming. I am not sure who I should call and I am very sure I am not mad at all the people of Wyoming but when my President Obama won the election, Texas once again had GW but Wyoming failed to take back the VEEP. He is in McLean, Virginia and now there is talk that he is considering a run for the White House as Pres.
Now Wyoming is a pretty small state by population so maybe that had budget cuts. And it is true it took six strong guys to get him out of his office. He is getting old and he thought he had a lifetime appointment. President Bush Senior indicated that they had a dynasty going that would not stop. The original plan called for Jeb to be next but Jeb wasn't all that interested. He didn't like the idea of Cheney as veep. Uppity youngun thought that being President he should get to pick his own VEEP. So it is easy to see VEEPs confusion.
Now ex-Governor Palin abandoned Alaska due to lower oil revenue it was more work to govern. I mean there was some talk about lawsuites and complaints but that was probably just from those pesky Liberals that are always picking on the Prom Queen side kick of the Maverick who lost to Obama.
I am just worried that Dick has guns in McLean. In McLean the only hunting done these days is when the Pest Exterminators are called in. Well unless you want to count the terrorist squirrels that are always after the bird seed. McLean & Arlington are neck in neck over who feeds the pets better. We have indoor pets - cats & dogs mostly, and outdoor pets - bunnies, birds, squirrels, chipmunks & on very rare occasions deer.

New York Sunday Collision

I wanted to comment on the tragedy that happened Sunday when a Mother was returning home from a camp ground and ran head on into another vehicle as she drove the wrong way on a divided highway.
The owner of the campsite said the driver in question appeared to be normal when she left that morning. Her husband left about the same time. He to go to a fishing trip and her and the children were to head home.
She stopped at a McDonald's near the camp and got food for her 2 children and for her 3 nieces.
She was driving her brother's van. The same brother who was the father to the nieces she had in the van with her.
Reports from the scene of the accident said a bottle of Vodka was in the Van. We now know the cell phone she had used to call her brother, ( Her husband was in an area with poor cell reception), was not with her at the scene.
We are left with unanswered questions of what happened between her leaving the camp and the death of 7 people around noon. Forensic blood alcohol indicated double the amount of alcohol and traces of marijuana. That is what officials reported. Remember that these officials are reading a written report from someone in a lab. All indications are that this information was obtained from a blood sample test.
While I saw in the news the statement of blood alcohol content, I did not see a report of stomach content or a back-up analysis of hair. It was stated by the medical examiner that they did not see any signs of heart attack or any other medical situation that could have contributed to the tragedy.
Cameras at McDonald's did not indicate any instability in the driver. I have seen many people who have consumed that much alcohol and they are usually obviously drunk. Only a maintenance drinker that drinks all day every day could appear to be "normal". Each of us have a tolerance for alcohol that is individual. Alcohol destroys brain cells. My question is what, if anything else, could have attacked her brain cells. At a camp? Did she have undiagnosed Lyme disease? Was there perhaps a water bottle in the van that had Vodka in it instead of water or mixed with fruit juice? As I understand it there are more results expected in toxicology reports for late September so why was any report at all released to the media?
I hope people allow the one survivor, her son, to recover before starting to hammer him with questions. Chain of custody is an issue here too. I do not support drinking and driving, texting, cell phones, and any other distractions but I also do not support everyone playing judge & jury to get their name in the papers.

Peace on Earth by 2027

Hi, my wonderful friends,

I am starting to get serious about developing my Peace Project. My web site at peace2027.ning.com will gradually be developed to list all the many projects that are leading us toward our goal of establishing Peace on Earth by 2027. As many of you know, my slogan is Education + Prosperity = Peace.
I have a company named Prosperity Coalition LLC which enables me to do many things. Some involve charities and some involve business. Many projects I will be doing in the future will combine both along with public funds from the UN & other government sources.
I have decided that we need a new system of Education for the new global world. My system would be JIT education. Yes the same system that has been revolutionary in manufacturing & retailing can improve education. Just in Time = JIT. The old model, where we say someone will be a ___;
fill in the blank with Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher, etc. and then think we can sit them in a college for years and they will be ready to earn money and practice their field of study, does not work anymore. Online education is here to stay and by 2012 it will be educating more people than "bricks & mortar" schools.
Check out www.elearningzoom.com to see what online education can do for you, your organization and/or your company.

Pocono Equestrian Organization

I would like to bring everyone's attention to a wonderful organization near Scranton, Pa. USA.
The CEO is Beverly Peffer. their web site is www.poconoequestrian.org and they adopt horses and train them to assist with special needs children. Now they work the same for regular children and adults which is why we are trying to raise money to get a permanent home for the organization.
Our goal is to raise $15 million USD in order to buy the land and build a stable and some bungalows, cabins, a "canteen"(place to get food & drink), some pavillions for group events and have enough land to have trails for riding.
There are plenty of opportunities for people to invest in this registered charity and get to advertise your name or your company. Please email Beverly at bpeffer@poconoequestrian.org with any questions.
You can also see more about this organization by checking out Horses Helping Humans in www.xing.com and www.ning.com or by going to my web site at peace2027.ning.com

President Obama in Ghana

CNN is right next to BBC in covering World News. I am totally disappointed in the coverage of the USA President Obama speaking live in Ghana. There is little point in advertising live coverage when you can't deliver simple audio/visual connections.
I applaud the concept of using local help in such situations but what has happened to pre-testing and quality control. Even after the even began there was no effort made to improve the connections.
For a company that does live broadcasts all the time I am wondering if everyone at CNN with technological expertise is on vacation this weekend. I think the local college kids here in Washington, DC could have done a better job of preparing for the President of the USA than CNN did in Ghana today.
